TheraFlo AP
TheraFlo AP advanced therapy support system combines True Low Air Loss with Alternating Pressure and Pulsation / Deep Breathing Exercise therapies. Combining these active and reactive therapies optimizes healing and allows caregivers to customize pressure injury management to the patient’s needs. TheraFlo delivers preventative therapy for patients at high to very high risk, and therapeutic management for patients with an existing stage 1, 2, 3, or 4 pressure ulcer, in conjunction with your facility’s policy on pressure injury management.
superior therapy, maximum comfort
TheraFlo’s unique five zone therapy support surface caters therapy to each distinct area of the patient’s body, optimizing the therapeutic benefit while providing enhanced comfort. Cell-in-cell design with 6 inch low air loss cells over 3 inch static air cells maximizes patient envelopment and supports transport mode up to ten hours.
multiple therapy zones
TheraFlo’s unique five zone therapy support surface caters therapy to each distinct area of the patient’s body, optimizing the therapeutic benefit while providing enhanced comfort. Cell-in-cell design with 6 inch low air loss cells over 3 inch static air cells maximizes patient envelopment and supports transport mode up to ten hours.
Zone 1: Lower Limb Zone with Heel Guard
Provides the lowest pressure and maximum immersion for patient’s lower limbs. The constant lower pressure at the heel section helps protect patient’s heels, one of the most at-risk parts of the patient’s body. Pressure level low.
Zone 2: Bridging Zone
Bridging Zone allows customized and individualized pressure relief wherever the patient needs it most. Specialized air cells afford easy removal and reattachment allowing caregivers to minimize pressure in the area or areas where the patient requires the most offloading. Pressure level minimal.
Zone 3: Sacrum Zone
Maintains maximum envelopment while providing extra support to prevent patient “bottoming out”. Pressure level medium.
Zone 4: Shoulder Zone
Ergonomically designed to support the patient’s shoulders. Pressure level medium-low.
Zone 5: Pillow Zone
Stabilized pressure relief for the patient’s head. Pressure level low.
the powerful theraflo ap blower
Powerful True Low Air Loss blower regulates the patient’s microclimate by continuously and slowly releasing air to keep skin dry and wick away moisture, aiding in prevention of skin maceration. Three additional therapy modes ensure caregivers have the tools they need to provide the most appropriate therapy for each patient.
true low air loss
Regulates the microclimate by slowly releasing air to keep skin dry and wick away moisture, aiding in prevention of skin maceration.
three therapy Modes
TheraFlo AP pump provides three therapy modes, Static, Dynamic, and Pulsate/DBE, in addition to continuously providing true low air loss therapy.
static Mode
Reactive continuous low pressure (CLP) therapy adjusts the air pressure in each cell based on the patient’s movement, allowing the patient to be immersed and enveloped by the support surface and minimizing pressure on the patient’s skin and subcutaneous tissue.
dynamic mode
Active therapy alternating pressure with 5, 10, or 15 minute cycle options.
pulsate with dbe Mode
Pulsation mode stimulates capillary blood flow by gently increasing and decreasing cell pressure during the programmed cycle time. DBE lifts the patient from the immersed state for 30 seconds to encourage deep breathing, then returns the patient to the prior settings for 60 seconds.
intelligent pressure sensing
Intelligent Pressure Sensing (IPS) technology automatically adjusts the internal pressure in response to patient movements to continually maximize total envelopment based on the patient load.
adjustable comfort
Adjust firmness using up and down arrows to enhance patient comfort.
max Inflate / auto firm
Rapidly hyper-inflates the entire mattress to allow for easier egress, turning, and lateral transfers.
quiet operation
Lowest operating noise level allows your patients to rest.
upright feature
Supplies increased air flow to the sacral region to prevent “bottoming out” when head of bed is raised.
easy to use interface
Intuitive operation with the easy to read faceplate and simple touch controls designed for ease of operation by caregivers.
built-in carry handle
Compact design with built-in carry handle for convenient transport.
